In these difficult times it’s more important than ever to look after our physical and psychological wellbeing, and I can help through a combination of exercise and talking therapy, tailored to you. This can be through personal training sessions and/or talking therapy, and walk and talk sessions – an excellent way to combine exercise with a chat about whatever’s on your mind.
Maybe you have barriers to exercise that we can work on together; body image, low self confidence, lack of motivation, or simply don’t enjoy exercise. Or perhaps you have problems with anxiety or stress, and it will help to talk to an empathic and non-judgemental listener. Studies show that exercise can be as beneficial in dealing with stress and anxiety as CBT and medication.
I facilitate therapeutic sessions with horses to support young people and women in gaining greater self-awareness, developing emotional resilience, building self-confidence, improving relationships and interpersonal communication, managing anxiety and depression, learning emotional regulation, creative problem-solving and other personal development goals. Sessions are all based on ground work and take place outdoors. No previous experience of horses is required.
