I provide a personalised aromatherapy service, using therapeutic grade essential oil blends, though various media such as massage oils, lotions, bath oils, etc after full and detailed consultation with the client. The most usual mode of application that I use is through gentle body massage which is tailored and adapted to the client’s needs. I also offer five-point microsystem ear acupuncture to help to relieve the symptoms of anxiety and stress. Through my hospice work I have experience of working with people who have life-limiting conditions. My service are holistic with the client at the centre of their treatment plan. Tailored aromatherapy massage aims to help improve emotional, psychological and physical wellbeing by promoting relaxation, reducing anxiety and stress, improving mood and aiding sleep. My therapies can be used alongside most conventional medical care, however, complementary therapy should not be used in place of conventional medical care. Always consult your GP or a health professional for medical attention and advice.
Based in the Lydbrook area, I work from a small treatment room within my home, but I am able to offer a mobile service on request where appropriate. Prior to becoming a Complementary Therapist I had trained as a nurse and have a varied experience of working with people of all ages who are living with both short and long-term health conditions, and with varying levels of mobility. I am very privileged to work and volunteer in a hospice, bringing gentle touch and relaxation to those most in need. Having recently achieved a Jennifer Young Post-Graduate Diploma in Oncology Massage, I am delighted to be able to welcome those living with and beyond cancer for oncology massage using Jennifer’s NHS approved cancer appropriate products . I am very skilled at adapting my therapies to the client’s needs, and take great pleasure in being able to promote through relaxation: a reduction of tension, anxiety and stress, improved mood, better quality of sleep and a general sense of wellbeing.
